The Club Hut


The Peter Llowarch Memorial Hut is named in memory of Club Member Peter Llowarch who died in 1961, trying to assist a climber in difficulties on Cryn Las.

Member Fees for Using the Hut

Members: 1.00 per night. Members' Guests (up to a maximum of 3 per Member): 3.00 per night. Any other people (over and above the Member and 3 Guests) in a member-booked group pay the current rate for external hire, i.e. 8.00 per person per night. Children aged 5 years and under: free. Maximum group size: 15 people.  Members planning to stay at the Hut with non-members should check the Booking Schedule in the Members Area (menu at top of screen, log in details needed) and contact the Secretary (see below). 

Hiring the Hutsinks

The Hut can be hired out to Club and other legitimate 
groups of persons aged 18 and over. To enquire about

The current fee is 8.00 per person per night. The minimum fee payable for external groups hiring the Hut is 48.00.

On the right, our new toilet and washroom facility adds greatly to the comfort of a stay at Garth.


There is a wood-burning stove and the lights run off a petrol-using generator. All hut users - Club members and visitors - are responsible for supplying their own fuel.
